To the people (you who call yourselves 'pro-family' but aren't) who protest our love and marriage:
And if the vulgar and malignant crowd
Misunderstand the love with which we're blessed,
Its worth is not affected in the least;
Our faith and honest love can still feel proud From the sonnets of Michelangelo, one of those gay people.
Passed out on a card today at City Hall.

I didn't see any of the "anti" crowd when we arrived (around 11am?) but they were quietly standing across the street from City Hall when we left (1pm or so). The boys handed out their cards and we tried to hand out cookies, but most declined. I'm also afraid that many newlyweds thought we were giving them propoganda instead of cards, but once people opened them they were quite touched. A few news organizations took pictures but mostly it was of Ellen licking the steps of City Hall with chocolate all over her mouth (from the cookies she was stealing).
The boys were quite miffed when they noticed traditionally dressed "men" and "women" that they would have the unmitigated GALL to come down and get married on this special day :), but we talked a bit and they agreed that just because a person wears a dress it doesn't mean that they are female and just because someone wears pants and has short hair it doesn't mean they are male. We've touched on transgender before but I didn't want to get into it out there with (what seemed like) the eyes of SF on us.
It was an amazing day! Men kissing, women kissing, EVERYONE clapping and hooting and hollering when someone came out of City Hall waving their certificate - it was simply amazing!
Ellen (2) was miffed because she wanted to marry Liney (4), but hey, that'll have to wait for another day. ;)
Oh, and at one point I was nursing Ellen on the front steps of City Hall and I don't think one person noticed - too much gaiety going on! :)
CONGRATULATIONS TREY and Spouse! I looked for you two, but I'm sure you were gone by the time we got there. Have a GREAT honeymoon!!!!

Oh, and one more thing - SF is simply INNUNDATED with drop dead gorgeous men right now. (fanning myself)
