Adoption.com: still discriminating, even more

Just over a year ago, I reported that Adoption.com was being sued for not allowing GLBT couples as members of their site. Well, the lawsuit has taken a turn for the better (these things take long don't they?!), and adoption.com has even gotten worse...
One bit of good news: The lawsuit has jumped a hurdle and was not dismissed as asked by the defense lawyers But, as Shannon at Peter's Cross Station reports, Adoption.com has gotten worse. The site is now deleting any posts in their forums that have to do with GLBT adoption. If you mention it, its deleted. If you mention your same-sex partner, it's deleted. Heck, they are even deleting posts from single mothers. Former and current members of Adoption.com are urging a boycott not only of adoption.com, but also of any organization that advertises with them. Go ahead and check the link. If you are in the midst of an adoption or thinking of one, please boycott. If you aren't, a letter to the sponsors would help (especially if you've used them or plan to in the future). Adoption.com is a private organization, but it is the largest, by far, adoption forum and resource on the net (it's name doesn't hurt). If they want to so blatantly discriminate, then we should refuse to support them in any way, shape or form.

Adoption.com is also, still, the first hit on a Google search for "adoption" - I just checked it now.

I think I will write at least some of the sponsors. Thanks for the info; it's very disheartening to see a supposedly reputable site acting like this.

Try soulofadoption.com Everyone is welcome there.

It's horrible isn't it? I'd love to see their primo site address taken away from them.
