Ok, so that is PURE speculation, but hey, it's the rumor. Apparently, Tom Arnold said that his friend, the governor Arnold, suggested he wants to sign the bill (which passed the legislature last year and has been reintroduced). Some guy in the Log Cabin Republicans said that this rings true:
"We are being told the governor looks favorably on [the gay marriage bill] in general. He just wants his concerns addressed," said Vaughn, who declined to reveal whom he had spoken to on the governor's staff.
Well, it's plausible. Times are changing, he has a Democrat for a chief of staff this time, he doesn't have to worry about re-election, the state Supreme Court is about to rule (and could give him cover)... 2007 _might_ be the year that marriage-equality becomes a reality in the most populous state in the country... and by a vote. We'll see, don't want to get our hopes up too much do we?

But it is so hard not to! Carl is living in California right now.
The thought that I might someday go to his wedding is...I don't have words.

Wouldn't that be something. I'm not sure if my son will r find a life partner; that's his business, not mine.
If he does, I'd love to be there at his wedding.

That would pretty cool of it happened. I know we can't get our hopes up too much, but I am definitely keeping that little spark of hope alive for this...

I was furious with him when he vetoed the bill. It was outrageous to go against the will of the people. He better make right on this.
