Yep, that'd be it of course :).
I just wrote a long post in all it's meta-blog glory. I'm going to post it at midnight my time :).
Silph is right basically, when I started blogging (not this blog) it was called 'online journal', then around 1999 'web log' was termed. Though 'blog' was soon to follow, it didn't go into popular usage till just about the time right after this blog started (at least from my recollection :).
