PG Rating…

That’s my blog’s rating according to this site. That’s because it found 4 “deaths,” 3 “gays,” and a “lesbian.” Some sites I read got an NC-17 (yikes!), and R, but as Family Pride points out:

Though the website’s rating system is meant to be humorous (and should be taken with a grain of salt), it does speak to the power of words. Specifically, words that relate to sexuality.

And I’m sure my rating would have been higher (lower?) depending on the week and what I’m talking about :)

They were easy on you. I got a PG-13 for 2 “gays” and 1 “drugs.”

I have a PG too because I used the word “death” more than once. What other word could I have possibly used?

My real life rating may be NC-17, depending on what I’m doing at the time and who’s around to hear me.

I have a blogging friend in Seattle who is one of the most potty-mouthed bloggers around (I like him anyway). He’s on the side of the angels. He was ranting about his “G” rating and wondering what he was doing wrong.

I have an Australian friend with a well deserved NC-17 whose blog is much more moderate than the one in Seattle.

    Strange.

    I got PG-13.

    Hurt (3x); gay (2x); drugs (1x)

Can you imagine if I rated during the sexcapades? Although I think I used euphamisms most of the time.
