Well, not really.
I told Emma yesterday that I had to leave tonight for a one-day business trip. She was not happy. She starting crying like I was leaving for months and hugged me and then said "You're my favorite Papa" (and yes, you are my favorite daughter :D). She then went and told our pet parrot and fish that I was leaving and loved them even so.
Talk about guilt trip.
She calmed down, but right before supper last night...
She said
"Papa, the airport called. They said the planes are all broken. There was an earthquake and it broke all the airplanes. The airport is closed"
and before I could object and say there couldn't have been an earthquake since we didn't feel it, she quickly added:
"It was a small earthquake, we couldn't feel it here."
Well, she's creative in her stories :D

but in all seriousness, it's such a sweet image to think of your daughter hugging you and saying that you're her favourite Papa..; that she likes all the little things about you that makes you you that she can't think of anyone else taking your place..
[lol, i wonder if it's true that many kids, when they hit their teen years, are all "get out of my life already! but first drive me to the mall! and btw, what colour sweater do you think would look good on me for the party tonight?" :-) ]

OH hi Shanni!
YEs, it is a very sweet image Silph. It's one of those things that makes parenting amazing (which is good because those other times that parenting isn't so amazing...
like when they are teenagers :).
