Way back machine

Trey | February 25, 2009

journalI started this blog (Daddy, Papa & Me), 7 years ago! That was the day I made my first post about our adoption process that lead (a short couple months later) to Emma’s introduction to our family. Wow. 7 years, that’s like several historical periods ago.

I actually had an online journal (blog, though I didn’t call it that) that I started a year before that called “Open Thoughts.” I thought that was gone, but I forgot about the “Way Back Machine.” Those “open thoughts” are still open LOL. Interestingly, I posted a grand total of 8 times that year. Guess having kids makes you write more often :D .

Slumdog Millionaire, Milk, Toyland

Trey | February 23, 2009

oscarsI loved Slumdog Millionaire, great to see it to have won a few :) .

I liked Milk. Unlike some, I thought the screenwriting was excellent, and Dustin Lance Black deserved his award. His acceptance speech was excellent:

Change, it is a’coming

Trey | February 20, 2009

iranpresIn one of the most egregious acts (or non-acts) the Bush administration did against GLBT people, the one where they opposed a UN resolution that called for the end of the imprisonment and execution of gay people, has to have been one of the worst. The allies with Bush on this? Islamic countries and the Vatican. That’s changing.
